I am a children and family photographer. My style is best described as lifestyle/photojournalistic. I want to capture you being you. I will guide and set-up shots, then catch you in action and capture real moments. I believe the Brainerd Lakes Area provides many great location options. We can hang out at your house, head to the lake, play at the park, hike the Paul Bunyan Trail, stop for ice cream, visit the farm ... the options are endless. You can also come play in my studio at Franklin Arts Center.
What to wear-
Clothing choices are a very important element to getting portraits that you love.
For children, Bright colors are always fun and accessories add interest. Please consider anything that tells the story about what your child loves...a football helmet, ballet outfit or tutu, a favorite dress-up costume or stuffed animal, etc.
For family sessions, there’s no need to be matchy-matchy! Think complimentary tones and styles but don’t think you need to all wear the same colors or style outfits. Let your personality shine through and capture what your family looks like today. It’s much more important that your outfits and accessories are a reflection of you than to be matching. Length of session-
I do not specify time while planning a session. As a mother, I know that children are not always predictable and may need some time to warm up. Most sessions generally take between 1-2 hours. My plan is to keep shooting until I have a wide variety images to put in your hands.
Session Fees-
All sessions include a disc of 20-30 high resolution images, the copyright release and advice for printing your photos.
Babies and Children $150
This session will focus on the little ones only. The session fee includes up to 4 children. Each additional child is $25. These sessions last approximately one hour.
Newborns $175
These sessions should be scheduled during pregnancy as soon as possible, as I prefer to photograph newborns before they reach two weeks of age. The sessions last anywhere from 1-3 hours, which allows breaks for feeding, changing, etc.
Families $175
This session will include family shots as well as individual photos of the kids.

Whether it is a child's birthday party, business event, family reunion, baby shower, bridal shower or bachelorette party, I can be there - behind the scenes - to get the shots that you will cherish forever.
