I am happy to announce the new addition to our family, Ian Matthew. He came a week late (on his sister’s birthday) and weighed in at whopping 10 pounds 1 oz! This explains all of the stares I was getting in public and the numerous times I was asked if I was carrying twins during my last month of pregnancy. The first few weeks of his life have flown by and we are all adjusting to life with a new baby quite well. Ada has done especially well sharing the spotlight and just loves showing off her new baby brother. I had forgotten how much work one little baby is and feel so lucky to have such wonderful parents and family members who are more than willing to help out.
Now that I have finished school and had a new baby, I’ve been thinking a lot about my career path. While I feel passionate about teaching, I’ve become very passionate about photography as well. I also love being a mom and love nothing more than the idea of being able to stay at home and raise my family. Photography allows me to do that, but also keeps me busy and gives me the creative outlet I need (plus, I still get to work with children). That is why I’ve decided to become more serious about this little hobby. I am upgrading my equipment, improving my studio space, and making more props and accessories available for my clients. I plan on focusing a lot more attention on the business and improving my product. I am excited to see where this takes me! I want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point and hope you continue to believe in me and my dreams!
