Sophie

Sophie came to my studio a few days before her first birthday.  We had a great time playing around and being silly.  She is such a little sweetheart and was so fun to take pictures of!

Little Angel

When God calls little children to dwell with him above,

We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of his love.

For no heartache compares with the death of one small child

Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold,

So he picks a little rosebud before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them, so he takes but few,

To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try.

Family of Four

I recently met up with this family at the park.  They posed for some nice family photos, and then I followed along as they made their way to the playground equipment where I was able to capture some great action shots.

I thought I'd post some of my favorites of Matt's latest creations...

This is an ikebana vase- perfect for cut flower arrangements.  Inside each vase is a metal pin frog that holds the flowers in place.  There are so many cool and creative arrangements that can be made in these! 

Matt's been calling these 'baskets' - another fun way to display flowers.  He created the handle by steaming and bending wood, then attaching it with wire. 

Grace

I've had so much fun taking photos of all of these sweet little girls lately!  Grace has such a cute personality and I love how you can see her two little bottom teeth when she smiles.  It was so nice to get outside for this shoot.  Grace loved being outside, too, and enjoyed observing everything that was going on in the park.
