Fall Family Sessions

I did quite a few family sessions this Fall. The vivid colors never cease to amaze me and I am always surprised by how fast they come and go. We were lucky enough to capture these beautiful colors in many of the family sessions I did this October. These sessions took me to one of our area’s finest resorts, a great local park, the beautiful arboretum and an award winning golf course… I have so much fun finding out what each new session and each new location will offer.

Families

I really enjoy photographing families. This could be because I’m at the stage in my life where I can’t get enough photos of my own children or because I love witnessing each family’s unique dynamics, but I think the number one reason I enjoy photographing families is because I love to capture moments that parents and children can look back at and get a glimpse into what their life was like at that time.

In an effort to bring my blog posts up to date, I am including photos from three different family sessions in this post. I had a great time meeting with each of these families and capturing their special moments together. I hope they love looking back these photos for many years.

The Lees asked me to capture a very special moment of Lily with a photo of her cousin Grace…  Lily smiles at and kisses this photo every day.  She will continue to grow up loving her sweet and silly cousin.  No one will ever forget Grace's adorable, contagious smile.

Eva turns 4!

I just love photographing Eva... she is such a little performer and totally hams it up for photo shoots! She loves to sing and dance and comes up with some very creative poses. We had a great time playing outside at her house and in her princess bedroom. 

 

A Love/Hate Relationship

I love my computer for all of the obvious reasons... picture editing, word processing, email, facebook, blogging, pinterest, etc.  For some reason, though, I seem to have the worst luck with computers.  I just got mine back today after being without it for two weeks!  This is the 3rd time I have had to send a computer of mine away to be repaired.  Two weeks is a long time to be without a computer for anyone, but when you run your small business around it, it becomes especially frustrating.  The good news is that it's working again and they didn't even have to replace the hard drive this time.  I am back in business and once again playing catch up.  Thanks to everyone who has had to be extra patient during this time!

An Evening at the Park

I met this family on a beautiful summer evening back in August.  We hung out in the grass, took a little walk and played on the equipment.  The kids were great and the shoot went so smoothly... it was such a pleasure spending time with them!

Brothers

These adorable little guys melted my heart the moment they walked into my studio. And although big brother Bodie was much more interested in playing with his dinosaurs than getting pictures taken (can you blame him?), we eventually convinced him to give his sweet baby brother some love and I was able to get some very precious shots.

Collin

September and October have been two of my busiest months yet!  I have been loving it, but am having a hard time keeping up with the blog... I promise I am going to try to get better at it :)  This shoot goes all the way back to August when Collin was preparing to celebrate his first birthday.  I came to his house and we played in his scenic backyard with his mom and dad, his pet dog, and a bunch of chickens!  Collin was so happy and excited about everything. He squealed and giggled throughout the entire shoot... so cute!!!
